    Haven't read these except for Susan Ee and I was quite surprised by how quickly I fell in love with her book!

    I've read six of these, I love Perkins and Ee, and I liked The Night Circus. King can be pretty good, too! I hope you get to branch out to some of them soon!

Top Ten Tuesday 54 - Book to Movie/TV adaptations

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by  The Broke and the Bookish . This week's theme: Top Ten Movie/TV show adaptations of books I've read Sometimes movies and TV shows do a great job of portraying the spirit of the books they're based on, and sometimes they really don't. Here are a few adaptations I loved and some that I felt were lacking. Great Adaptations 1. The Hunger Games/Catching Fire/Mockingjay       Stunning visuals, pitch-perfect portrayal of the characters, and just enough new changes to keep the movies fresh. 2. Harry Potter The movies captured the spirit of the books so well, and again, all the actors did an amazing job of portraying the beloved book characters. Some movies did better than others, but I'm generally really happy with these! 3. The Book Thief     I was really nervous about watching this because The Book Thief is one of my favorites. Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by  The Broke and the Bookish . This week's theme:  Top Ten Movies and TV Shows This is going to be fun! I love reading SFF, so a lot of my favorite movies and TV shows have elements of sci-fi/fantasy. There are a couple that don't, but I love them just as much! TV shows I love Doctor Who - it's all the fun of time travel and space exploration with all the joy of discovering the best humanity has to offer. My favorite episodes are Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, Vincent and the Doctor, The Empty Child, and The Girl in the Fireplace. They're the ones that were the most emotional for me, which is what I love about this show - despite all the crazy aliens and special effects, in the end it's about wonderful people and their beautiful stories.
