This week's theme: Top Ten Books I Want To Reread

I already have a huge list of books to reread , so I'm going to limit this to books I want to reread on audio!

  1. The Mistborn trilogy: Ok, so I've already reread Final Empire, but I really want to finish listening to the next two books because the audio is FANTASTIC.
  2. The Name of the Wind : I wasn't too fond of this book when I first read it, so I want to give it another shot. Also, Nick Podehl is an AMAZING narrator, and I'm sure I'll like this story more just because he's reading it.
  3. The Book Thief: This is a book I've reread at least 6 times, and I think it's about time I listened to it. I cry every time I get to the end of this book; imagine the emotions with the audio! *stocks up on tissue boxes*
  4. Neverwhere: This is my favorite Neil Gaiman book, and I either want to listen to the audiobook or the BBC radio drama because both sound fantastic and I would love to hear these colorful characters come to life.
  5. Vicious: I just have a feeling that my "really like" will turn into "LOVE LOVE LOVE" if I listen to this one :)
  6. The Stormlight Archive: I'm a little hesitant to put this on here because these audiobooks are freaking huge (50+ hours, I believe), but just imagine how epic this would be!
  7. The Gentleman Bastards series: I love this series to death (LOCKE AND JEAN FOREVER), and I have no doubt that the audio will make me love it even more.
  8. The Bartimaeus Trilogy: This is a childhood favorite of mine, and of course Bartimaeus' snark and wit can only be more enjoyable when you're hearing his wisecracks instead of just reading them :)
  9. The Martian: Another snarky book that made me laugh like crazy when I read it. I'd love to laugh and listen as well!

  10. Monsters of Men (Chaos Walking #3): This is one of my favorite books, and I've reread the first two books on audio already, but I keep putting this one off because I know how emotional I'm going to get. Again, you can't go wrong with Nick Podehl!

We've seen a little bit about the differences in what members of different genders are allowed and encouraged to do. I thought it was interesting how things like reading were entrusted only to women, since reading is how you gain knowledge (and power!), and it seems like the men were the ones who wanted all the power in this world. Way of Kings Readalong: Wrap-up

So it's finally over. That was an amazing book! Thank you everyone for joining in and making my first readalong so much fun :) I have said over and over again that Brandon Sanderson is a storytelling god. This book makes me believe it even more fiercely - it takes a mastermind to create such intricate worlds and piece together so many character and plot threads. He does such a great job of feeding you just enough answers/revelations to keep you happy, but keeps you hanging by dangling all sorts of questions for you to answer. Not to mention the bombshells he throws in at the end... Having read Mistborn, I really should have been more prepared for disaster and mindblowing moments towards the end of the book. The end was just bombshell after bombshell - some were interesting revelations, and others were shattering. Way of Kings concept art and fan art!

Sanderson always puts so much detail into the worlds and characters he writes about, so it's so easy to imagine them all in my head. I was curious about if other people imagined them the same way, and I started poking around on google imags/deviantart/tumblr. Look at the fantastic pieces of art I found!
