Sci-Fi month 2014 IS HERE!

It's finally November, and that means Sci-fi month is here! For those of you who are new to the party, Sci-fi month is where a bunch of blogs post about different things related to science fiction. This can be anything from favorite books to quizzes to sci-fi reviews to discussions about technology that used to be fiction and is now fact. Some blogs are also doing giveaways, so look out for that! Whether you're new to science fiction or already a die-hard fan, this month is going to be a lot of fun.

If you're participating this month, link me to your posts if you stop by and I'll be sure to check them out! Even if you aren't posting anything on your blogs, you can join in the discussion on twitter with #RRscifimonth.

So what can you expect from Snowflakes & Spider silk?

Last year I talked about sci fi worlds I'd want to live in and posted some recommendations. This year I've planned out even more fun stuff, so (in no particular order) here's a list of what you can look forward to!

An interview with filmmaker, author, and playwright, Guy Hasson
A super fantastic science fiction subgenre flowcart (Triple SF for short ;) )
Reviews of science fiction books like Timebound
A discussion post on one of my pet peeves in science fiction
Some fantastic science fiction art and artists
My thoughts on HP Lovecraft

What are you looking forward to for sci-fi month? Are you an expert or a newbie or someone in between?
